2 Chainz attended North Clayton High School where he played basketball. He later proceeded to Alabama State University on Scholarship after graduating with excellence result from high school. While in the University, 2 Chainz played in the basketball team from 1995 to 1997.
2 Chainz started his music career in 1997 where he formed a hip hop duo with Playaz circle in College Park in Georgia, U.S.A. 2 Chainz was called Tity Boi when he started his career as a musician. He later changed his name from Tity Boi to 2 Chainz in 2011. 2 Chainz gained popularity when he changed his name and has released a lot of award-winning songs.
